Astrozap aluminum spray guards are Astrozap's original flagship products and are welded rigid aluminum cylinders with a durable, high quality, textured black powder coat finish. Astrozap aluminum spray shields are designed to be non-reflective inside the tube to reduce or eliminate stray and off-axis light. A black felt liner is included inside the dew shield to protect the finish of your telescope and help absorb moisture. Nylon thumbscrews securely attach the aluminum dew shield to the optical tube. The 4 nylon thumbscrews serve only to secure the fit and not to replace any screws or go into any telescope screw holes.
