2" T-Adapter - 40mm Optical Length
The TSFA240 T2 adapter can be used on 2" eyepiece holders. It has a male T-thread on the camera side so that T-rings can be attached to adapt any type of DSLR camera.
The T-adapter has a length of 40mm. This makes sense in the following cases:
Many telescopes have their focal plane beyond the maximum focusing travel of the focuser. They are intended for use with 2" diagonal prisms and need an extension if a camera is used. The T 2" adapter from TS contains a 40mm extension so that the focuser problem can be solved without using an additional adapter.
2" thread for filters
At the base of the adapter, there is a female M48 thread for threading 2" filters. Therefore, filters can be used for astrophotographic use.
