Synopsis
how have the different representations of the sky evolved since the cave paintings in the Lascaux Cave in France more than 15,000 years ago? What are the Pleiades? How did time begin to be measured? When did humans realize that the Sun and the Moon influenced weather changes and crops? How are the stars of a constellation named? Where does the horoscope come from? How does Plutarch describe an eclipse? When are the first supernovae mentioned? How did our ancestors represent comets? These and many other questions that arise from the curiosity and mystery that has always aroused the contemplation of the sky, from the earliest times, justify the title of this book: Why we looked at the stars.
