Guillem Anglada-Escudé studied at the University of Barcelona and received his PhD in 2007. His area of study is precise planet detection techniques and he has participated in several research projects. He leads the group that has discovered the planet Proxima b, the most likely habitable planet on Earth. He also led together with R. Paul Butler the project that located the super-Earth GJ 667Cc, a planet 22 light-years away from Earth and four times its mass. At the end of 2016 Nature magazine chose him as one of the 10 most outstanding scientists of 2016 from around the world.
Physicist, aerospace engineer and PhD in space propulsion. He has been teaching and researching for 7 years at the Polytechnic University of Barcelona.
During the last three years, he combines these activities with Science Outreach, mainly through a personal project called Gaia Science (blogsite, youtube channel and live performances).
