Book Cosmic Delirium. Editorial PRAMES
70 photographs to dive, to understand the cosmos and to know the techniques used to harvest light from darkness. Images of the sky that tell stories, evoke myths, sow questions and dream answers to mix divulgation with fiction. Delirio cósmico is an astrophotographic book by Oswaldo Felipe Royo, illustrated with texts by the author himself, dazzling images and words that are findings, poetic thoughts, mythological references, creative delusions of a restless spirit, an actor and storyteller of the PAI (Promotora de Acción Infantil) of Zaragoza, who invents gadgets, captures stars and unveils constellations.
The book, published in hardcover, is starred by astrophotography images, each of them accompanied by a suggestive and brief text, main contents to which are added an appendix of sane data, with the real data of each of the images (place, technique used, parameters of the shot...) and another appendix of tactics and methods, in which the author introduces us succinctly in the three basic areas of astrophotography: deep sky photography, lunar and planetary photography and landscape photography.
Cosmic Delirium is not a book about astrophotography technique, it is a new gadget by Oswaldo Felipe to enjoy, learn and dream planets, stars and constellations. A great companion to travel through the nights of this year 2023 in which Galáctica - Centro de Divulgación y Práctica de la Astronomía, that fabulous complex created at the foot of the Observatorio Astrofisico Javalambre, in Arcos de las Salinas, will open its second space to the public, and in which the city of Zaragoza will host the XXV Congreso Estatal de Astronomía, the last weekend of April.
About the author: Oswaldo Felipe
When he was 8 years old, his grandfather proposed him to make a rocket to go to the Moon. They only managed to make gunpowder with colored sparks. As a young boy he built microphones and a mixer. So he began working as a sound technician at PAI, a theater and animation company in Zaragoza. There he became, himself, a mixer. And he began to mix everything: tongue twisters with juggling, games with circus, pirates with washing machines, cinema with theater, science with fiction, accordions with acrostics, chickens with percussion, poetry with robotics, galaxies with ensaimadas, photography with greguerías and delirium with astronomy. At present, he regularly travels to the moon without gunpowder or fuel.
