The newton telescope Skywatcher 130/650 AZ-Go2 Explorer 130P is the ideal telescope to get started in astronomy with a very easy to use telescope. Being WIFI, with a simple APP on your tablet or mobile you will be able to align and control the telescope. In addition, thanks to its parabolic mirror optics you will have a telescope free of chromatic aberrations and very good definition. Therefore, it is an equipment that will provide excellent images of the Moon and planets with contrast and sharpness of image and that if we take it to a dark location, with its luminosity will allow us to see also deep sky objects (open and closed clusters, galaxies and nebulae).
This telescope is distributed exclusively for Spain and Portugal by Telescopiomania. Take advantage of this opportunity offered by this collaboration between Skywatcher and Telescopiomania to get a high quality telescope at one of the lowest prices you can get in the market!
Description of the telescope Skywatcher 130/650 AZ-Go2 Explorer 130P:
The Skywatcher 130/650 AZ-Go2 Explorer 130P telescope is a good starting point for new amateur astronomers. With 30% more light gathering capacity than a 114 mm telescope, beginning amateur astronomers can observe even more fascinating celestial objects. The high-performance optics of 130 mm aperture and 650 mm focal length allow observation of many nebulae and other deep sky objects. With a focal ratio of f5, the telescope is also ideal for wide-field observation. It is also worthwhile to look for open clusters of breathtaking beauty. Its short length and low weight make the telescope very stable, even in small mounts, as vibrations are very quickly damped. The exterior design can also be considered a real gem, with a very elegant and exclusive design.
Summary of the most outstanding features:
344X light gathering power (i.e. it allows us to see 344 times more than we would with the naked eye)
Vibration-resistant and insensitive to wind due to compact design
Highly portable and quick to mount
Parabolic mirror to provide high magnification without distorting the field.
2" focuser allows the use of 2" accessories for even larger and brighter fields of view
GoTo function saves tedious searching for objects
More than 10000 celestial objects
Wireless control with smartphone or tablet via WLAN
Free App
Dedicated WiFi module for stand-alone use
The AZ-Go2 mount uses its motors(SERVOMOTORS) to make the telescope follow the rotation of the sky. Its integrated computer controls ("GoTo") help by selecting a suitable celestial object and pointing the telescope to it.
One of the special features of the AZ-Go2 mount is its built-in Wi-Fi. This makes it possible to control the mount remotely using the free SynScan app for iOS or Android. To control the mount in this way, a smartphone or tablet with this app is required. It is also possible to control the mount using optional hand control knobs, but the app offers more functions and can always be kept up to date.
The AZ-Go2 mount is a single-arm mount. This makes it lightweight and compact. Due to the curvature of the mount, the telescope does not touch the mount when pointing towards the zenith. There are other telescope models that do not take this point into account and cause you to lose the view of the zenith part of the sky.
The telescope is attached to the mount by means of a dovetail. This is a dovetail type Vixen which is also a universal standard. Therefore we will be able to reuse the mount with various telescopes, even from other manufacturers.
The height-adjustable stainless steel tripod with accessory tray keeps the mount and telescope stable without vibration.
The mount has a battery compartment, but can also be powered by an external battery (12 V/1 A).
