Protective light cover AstroZap for Dobson Meade Lightbridge 10"
The protective covers are made of nylon and are one of those almost indispensable accessories for the owners of Truss type telescopes, that is, for those equipments in which only the primary and secondary remain inside the tube and the rest of the tube is a support skeleton. Among these types of telescopes are the retractable or extendable telescopes of the Meade Lightbridge series.
The protective covers offer two main advantages:
1. On the one hand, they prevent the circulation of humid air between the primary and secondary mirrors, thus preventing the appearance of dew on the surfaces of the two mirrors.
2. On the other hand, they prevent the entry of stray light rays that can degrade the quality of the images and spoil an observation.
ASTROZAP protective sleeves are manufactured in the USA from a nylon and cotton composite that is specially machined to fit the telescope rods perfectly. This maintains total flexibility while no part of the sleeve loses tension.
