Product Details

The VIXEN PORTA II altazimuth mount can be used with narrow dovetail tubes (type Vixen), weighing less than 5Kg and with an external diameter less than or equal to 160mm.

This portable and robust altazimuth mount is exceptional for combining observations with both astronomical and terrestrial telescopes. It is very versatile thanks to the possibility of making large (not very precise) displacements as one would do with a terrestrial tripod, but at the same time it can make use of the slow movement knobs and thus be able to make precise pointing.
