Unique features, such as electronic friction brake and memory shutdown, allow the mount to safely stop and resume a GoTo turn or continue tracking even after a sudden loss of power (no need to realign and start from the beginning).

The HAE29 mount can be controlled from a computer, either via ASCOM/Commander for Windows PC or a third-party INDI driver for MacOS; a SmartPhone/Tablet via iOptron Commander Lite or an app such as SkySafari; or a Raspberry Pi device via an INDI driver.

The HAE29EC features a high-precision RA-axis encoder that offers incredible tracking accuracy, enough for many to opt to take images "without" guidance.
