Seeing SBS SM-2 Monitor
The Seeing SBS SM-2 monitor uses a very low noise, high quantum efficiency CMOS sensor and a high quality 100mm f/3.5 lens as well as specific software developed by Dr. Alan Holmes (co-founder of SBIG).
The Seeing monitor constantly monitors the Seeing for a period of 12 hours and displays the collected data on the computer, saving all records in a flat file so that their contents can be analyzed later.
The camera is mounted in a weatherproof aluminum enclosure with a high quality optical window for maximum protection of all elements.
With the protective structure removed, the camera can be focused and the pointing is independently adjustable. The interface to the PC is via USB 2.0 port. There is space to install a powered USB extender in the aluminum housing either underneath or behind the camera.
