This LUNT Solar Searcher is designed to ideally complement all LUNT solar telescopes. The rings of the LUNT solar telescopes are already prepared to install this fantastic solar searcher.
what is delivered with the equipment?
i can't find the Sun! It sounds like fun, but actually finding the Sun by observing with a telescope equipped with solar filters can be tricky. And remember never to look directly at the Sun.
The SOL solar finder is an absolutely safe and easy way to locate the Sun, because you don't look at the Sun directly through the finder, you look at the finder! The aperture acts as a pin hole camera projecting an image of the Sun onto a 0.25" translucent screen.
The screen can be viewed from any position so just move the telescope until the Sun appears centered on the screen, at which point the Sun is also centered in the eyepiece field of view.
All LUNT solar telescopes are prepared to attach the SOL finder, except the LS152THa model , which requires the additional LUNT ADPSOL adapter.
