Product Details

Player One S-series ERF 2″ Player One S-Series Filter for Quark Chromosphere

This filter is an auxiliary filter, designed for Quark Chromosphere (Ha version), intended to reject energy and extend the lifetime of your Quark.

2″ ERF filter should work on 6″ or smaller refractors.

(DO NOT use it on the eyepiece for observing)

why add an ERF to the Quark?

The first filter on the Quark is quite small, the solar disk may be larger than it is, the light will heat the filter and its mount. With this 2″ ERF filter, we can protect both the filter and the filter holder from high temperature.

And don't worry about the ERF itself, it is use B270 transparent glass and multiple coating, which will reflect and not absorb ala most of the energy.

does it have any other use?

Yes, this ERF filter also can be used in lunar imaging, it will provide even brighter image than IR685 filter, also could improve vision.
