Solar prism TS-Optics 1.25" solar prism with complete equipment for professional solar observing.
Solar prisms are intended for observing the sun with refracting telescopes. Approximately 99% of the sunlight is removed. The remainder is available to the observer or photographer. The contrast is usually significantly better than with a lens filter.

This solar prism from TS-Optics already comes fully equipped with numerous accessories. You do not need any additional filters or adapters for observing or photographing.

The advantages of the solar wedge TS-Optics 1.25":

♦ Closed housing with integrated light trap: no stray light escapes
♦ Cooling fins for fast heat removal
♦ 1.25" polarizing dilter to screw onto the eyepiece or filter for continuous brightness adjustment without additional coloration.
♦ 1.25" narrow band interference filter significantly improves the contrast of the solar surface. Especially the regions of the faculae are better displayed. The filter has a bandwidth of about 40 nm and a peak at 540 nm. It is now possible to observe the sun with fast Fraunhofer refractors as chromatic aberration is eliminated.
♦ 1.25" and T2 accessories can be attached to the eyepiece side.
