The series includes filters for the three most important lines, i.e. OIII, H-Alpha and SII, with half-height widths of 12 and 6 nm.
PHOTOGRAPHY WITH NARROW-BAND LINE FILTERS
Line filters are the best choice to get started in astrophotography under an illuminated sky with guaranteed success. The most sensible first purchase is usually the H-Alpha filter, because it makes it possible to take detail-rich photos in skies with a lot of light pollution or with a full Moon. It is also the right filter for all nebulae that radiate red light.
The OIII filter, on the other hand, expands the possibilities considerably, because it makes it possible to visualize greenish and bluish structures, such as planetary nebulae or star-forming regions, in a detailed and contrast-rich way. The SII filter completes the HSO filter set to enable color imaging of all three spectra, just like the Hubble Space Telescope.
QUALITY FEATURES OF ASTRONOMIK'S NEW MFR NARROW BAND LINE FILTERS
MFR coating: 12 nm filters are compatible with all instruments up to f/1.4, while 6 nm filters are designed for instruments up to f/2.
High-quality carrier material: Astronomik works with polished, stress-free materials with excellent optical qualities on which the filters themselves are applied in the form of ultra-thin interference layers.
Homofocal design: All Astronomik CCD filters are homofocal or parfocal, i.e. the focal point of the optics does not shift when the filter is changed due to a tiny difference in the thickness of the carrier material.
Coating: Astronomik filters consist of 170 layers that are applied on both sides of the carrier material. These layers form the filter itself and at the same time prevent reflections.
Resistance: Thanks to the special coating technique, Astronomik filters are completely resistant to scratches, moisture and aging, so they always work just as well, even after years of use.
They integrate a system for blocking unwanted radiation over the entire spectral range from UV to IR, so you do not need to use additional filters to block infrared light.
The filters are supplied in a hard case.
Astronomik filters are of the highest quality for outstanding captures of the sky with your instruments. With them, you invest in accessories that will continue to perform as reliably and with the same satisfaction guarantee as on the first day, even after many years of use, because the coating application technique is specially designed to prevent the filters from losing their properties over time.
