Product Details

SkyWatcher 12.5mm guiding eyepiece with illuminated reticle.

The Sky Watcher reticle eyepiece is the ideal instrument for hand-guided astrophotography using off-axis radial guides or guide tubes. An extremely fine, illuminated double line makes it easy to follow the reference star. Instead of eclipsing the star, it allows you to position it exactly in the center of your eyepiece. You will immediately notice deviations from the desired position and can react in time.

The reticle can be illuminated by a red LED light and the intensity can be adjusted via a switch on the side. The diopter readjustment is done through the eyepiece, allowing perfect focusing of both the illuminated reticle and the star to be followed.

The 12.5mm eyepiece provides a sufficient magnification factor for precise control of the guiding. This 1.25" eyepiece is of Plössl design and is equipped with four multi-coated lenses. It has a field of view of 40°.
