SKYQ LINK 2 and the new app CELESTRON SKYPORTAL
This latest version of the SkyQ Link WIFI module works with the new planetary software (app, ask Telescopiomania) SKYPORTAL which is available for free through the Apple Store and Google Play. SKYPORTAL is your key to enter the Universe (whether or not you have SkyQ Link 2).
Developed in collaboration with SkySafari experts, SKYPORTAL offers a user-friendly interface with a robust database of over 100,000 objects stored in memory. You can even prepare your observing session before setting up your telescope and even dozens of years before certain ephemerides such as lunar transits and eclipses pass...
The SkyQ Link 2 has been tested with the following mounts:
- Advanced VX (AVX)
- CG-5 (requires compatible cable)
- CGE Pro
- CGEM
- CGEM DX
- CPC
- LCM
- NexStar Evolution
- NexStar SLT
- NexStar SE
A special splitter port cable is required for the older CG5/GT mounts. The simple one, which would be valid for other mounts such as the NEXSTAR SE and NEXSTAR SLT series, is not suitable.
