Electronic Focusing Motor RB Focus Myrddin V2.3
This new mid-range RB-Focuser Myrddin 2.3, is completely made in Spain using all CNC machining process in Aluminum. It brings the possibility to all hobby enthusiasts to get a high end electronic focusing motor with the best performance that allows to auto focus the telescope without moving it to bright stars and with an impeccable precision far above the well known Bakhtinov mask.
Manual control via a mobile APP, we left analog controls and old boxes with push buttons. The RB-Focus Myrddin has the option to connect to your cell phone via an OTG cable (Not included) allowing people to focus even when they are doing visual or planetary.
The Sensorless AutoHoming™ feature now without the need for sensors allows you to automatically calibrate the telescope focuser in several directions, just as before, if by accident you move the focuser tube or want to pick up the tube manually at the end of the session to store the equipment in a carrying bag don't worry, the ultra accurate home position auto sensing system will return the tube to the last focus point applied by the capture program which avoids position losses and the need to remember what is the tentative focus point of the telescope. In addition, by means of the innovative magnetic field detection system of the motor we will be able to determine if the focuser mechanism has the correct tension to avoid slippage of the product.
With a resolution of 16000 steps per revolution or only 0.7 microns, it is on par with the best options available on the market, for a price affordable to all. In addition to clockwork accuracy, its DirectDrive™ or direct drive technology avoids backlash problems in mechanical drives well known in other products and allows you to focus the scope manually when a computer is not available. In addition, it has the ultra-quiet motor system, InteligentSilentDrive™, which actively adjusts motor power as needed while maintaining completely noise-free operation. By working with the ASCOM and INDI standard, it is compatible with the most popular capture software on the market such as APT, SGP, NiNa, Voyager, KStars, EKOS and others. It comes with a simple controller that allows you to configure the product in a short time and adapt it perfectly to any path whatever the focuser that carries your telescope. All this technology presented in a small and discreet module of just 7 cm high and 280g.
The integrated IPS LCD display, now with automatic shutdown, allows you to check at any time the correct operation of the electronic focuser, view the saved settings and monitor the movements it is making in real time without having to look up the value on the computer.
Breaking the myth that autofocusers are for advanced users with dedicated monochrome cameras, the product has been tested and is equally effective on dedicated color or DSLR cameras from the most basic to the most advanced models, opening the possibility for every astrophotographer with a telescope, reflector or refractor, to fully automate their photography sequences.
Normally products of this nature come with pages and pages of settings full of parameters, which makes the process of setting them up very tedious and ends up taking astrophotographers away from the great advantage of having an autofocusing telescope. In view of this, the software has been adapted to work with minimal basic settings that are easy to understand for any astrophotographer without losing the functionality and control of more complicated devices, making once and for all one of the most advanced techniques in astrophotography available to all users.
