ASKAR M54 Optical Splitter
Askar has introduced the M54 optical splitter for astrophotographers who want a rugged and reliable solution.
The Askar M54 OAG prism is 10 × 10 mm, which can not only collect more light, but also make it easier to capture the target star and perform automatic guiding.
Askar M54 OAG is designed with various threads, such as M42, M48 and M54, which basically can meet the needs of accessory attachment.
These adapters are suitable for beginners and are easy to change and replace. The Askar M54 OAG works well with a Full Fram sensor camera, making the imaging process easier for astrophotographers.
Askar M54 OAG is CNC machined. The surface of the camera is solid and smooth, with a delicate matte black finish.
Compatible with many cameras
The total optical extension of this optical splitter is 19.5mm, making it compatible with most cameras on the market, such as cameras ZWO.
You will just have to make sure you get the proper recommended Backfocus for your corrector which is usually 55mm.
The reference distance between the OD edge (without the adapter ring) and the main camera sensor should be 35mm to allow a good focusing range of the guide camera.
With this parameter you can easily calculate the thickness of the intermediate ring between the camera and the OAG if the supplied 18 mm ring does not allow the guide camera MAP.
This OAG will work perfectly with 17.5 BF cameras such as the famous cameras ZWO.
