Astrel Instruments astrel collaborates with the Italian National Institute of Astrophysics for the development of scientific cameras in different observatories of the ESO (European Southern Observatory). From its experience in the field of professional astrophysics the Astrel team decided to take the step to enter the world of CCD cameras for amateur astronomy. The contribution of Astrel Instruments in amateur astronomy is to offer an innovative product that is not yet on the market: autonomy (stand-alone), Wireless connection, open programming code, etc. The main concept of ASTREL INSTRUMENTS is that its CCD cameras are STAND-ALONE, i.e., totally autonomous since they have an integrated PC that can manage the image capture CCD sensor, the autoguiding system, the mount and any other type of accessories. It is a system that makes it very easy to manage different applications such as live image and focus to control a multi-filter image sequence and many other more complex ones. The cameras have an internal filter holder wheel with 7 positions and a manual vacuum system to avoid the appearance of frost. The camera can be controlled using a high resolution 5" touch screen or using the WIFI to control it from your Smartphone, tablet and of course your PC.
